What is Briefcall?
Briefcall is a private, on-device call companion for iPhone. You log a call in seconds, and Apple Intelligence turns your history into a briefing before the next call and a clean summary with action items after it.
Does it record my calls?
No. You log a call by typing the notes or dictating a voice note afterwards; the voice note is transcribed on-device. iOS does not let App Store apps record phone calls.
Does it need Apple Intelligence?
AI briefings, summaries and follow-up drafts do. Call logging, notes, contact intel and action items work on iPhones without Apple Intelligence.
Is my data uploaded?
Everything runs on your device with Apple Intelligence. There is no account, no server and no tracking.
What is in a pre-call briefing?
A relationship summary, recent topics and numbered talking points for the contact. On iOS 27, briefings also check your calendar for upcoming events with that contact, only that contact's events, not your whole schedule.
What happens after a call?
You can dictate a voice note, get an AI summary with action items, a suggested follow-up date and call sentiment, tick off action items as a checklist, and get a follow-up email drafted from your notes.

Can I use Siri?
Yes. You can ask Siri or search Spotlight, for example "Prep me for my call with Sarah in Briefcall".
