Is there a weather app with no account, no ads and no tracking?
Rain Check has no account, no sign-in and no ads, and it keeps no location history. It still has to look up the weather, so it sends each event's location and time to Apple Weather, never the event's title, notes or attendees.

How the options compare
- Apple Weather: Built in and free with no ads. It is a general weather app and does not read your calendar.
- CARROT Weather: Detailed and customizable, with paid tiers. Check its privacy label for what it collects.
- Free ad-supported weather apps: Convenient. They are typically paid for by ads and data, so read the privacy label before you install.
Where Rain Check fits
Here is exactly what leaves your phone. Forecasts: each event's location and time go to Apple Weather. Radar: a tile request names only the map area you are viewing, through the developer's server. Plus air-quality checks send the event's location to that server, which rounds it to an area about 16 km across and caches the result for 45 minutes. None of it carries your name or an account.
Your calendar itself stays on your iPhone.
What it costs
Rain Check is free to download. Today, which covers every event on your calendar today, the radar and severe-weather alerts, is free. Rain Check Plus adds fine, iffy or move it for tomorrow and up to 10 days ahead: $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year or $59.99 once in the US. Prices from the US App Store, checked 2026-11-03; they vary by region.
